Welcome to CarpentryConnect! These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the CarpentryConnect platform (“the Platform”) located at carpentryconnect.com.au. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
“Platform” refers to the CarpentryConnect website and any associated services.
“Customer” refers to any individual or business seeking carpentry services.
“Carpenter” refers to any business or individual offering carpentry services through the Platform.
“Services” refer to the services offered by Carpenters listed on the Platform.
“User” refers collectively to Customers and Carpenters using the Platform.
2. Scope of the Platform
CarpentryConnect is an online platform that connects Customers with Carpenters. CarpentryConnect does not:
Perform carpentry services.
Guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of any carpentry work.
Process payments between Customers and Carpenters.
Act as an agent for either party.
Customers and Carpenters are responsible for negotiating terms, including pricing, payment, and scheduling, directly with one another.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Customers
Provide accurate information when requesting quotes.
Ensure access to the project site for Carpenters.
Negotiate terms directly with Carpenters.
Understand that CarpentryConnect does not guarantee the quality of the Services provided by Carpenters.
3.2 Carpenters
Provide accurate information about their services and qualifications.
Carry all necessary licenses, certifications, and insurance required under Australian law.
Ensure timely communication with Customers.
4. Registration and Account Creation
Users must create an account to use certain features of the Platform. By registering, you agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
Maintain the security of your account credentials.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
CarpentryConnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in breach of these Terms.
4.1 Google Sign in
In addition to traditional registration, you may choose to create an account or sign in to CarpentryConnect using your Google account credentials. By using Google Sign in, you agree to the following:
You authorise CarpentryConnect to access and use certain information from your Google account, including your email address and profile information, to create and manage your CarpentryConnect account.
Your use of Google Sign in is subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policies. CarpentryConnect is not responsible for the security or privacy practices of Google.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. If your Google account is compromised, you must notify CarpentryConnect immediately.
5. Fees and Payments
CarpentryConnect does not charge Customers for requesting quotes or contacting Carpenters. However, Carpenters will be charged a fee for completed quotes each month, and a monthly invoice will be sent out, as detailed in separate agreements with Carpenters.
5.1 Quote Completion Requirement
Carpenters are required to update the status of every quote requested through the Platform. If a Carpenter completes a job but fails to mark the associated quote as completed on the Platform, CarpentryConnect reserves the right to:
Suspend or terminate the Carpenter’s account.
Charge an administrative fee or impose penalties as outlined in the Carpenter agreement.
Restrict access to future leads until compliance is ensured.
Possible legal action will be taken.
6. Limitations of Liability
CarpentryConnect is not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from agreements or services between Customers and Carpenters.
CarpentryConnect does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of any information provided on the Platform.
CarpentryConnect’s liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law.
7. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between Customers and Carpenters must be resolved directly between the parties. CarpentryConnect does not mediate disputes but may, at its discretion, provide assistance to facilitate communication.

Users agree to indemnify and hold CarpentryConnect harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from:

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of CarpentryConnect or its licensors and is protected under Australian intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

CarpentryConnect collects and processes personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
CarpentryConnect may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Platform.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Australian law and jurisdiction.

15. Rescheduling and Cancellations
Any rescheduling or cancellations must be arranged directly between the Customer and Carpenter. CarpentryConnect does not handle or process such requests.
16. Changes to Terms
CarpentryConnect reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
